SU Stars 1st Blog Hop & BLOG CANDY!!

Welcome to my very first ever Blog Hop!

If you have been hopping along, you should have arrived from Shari's site, Shari's Stamp Pad. If not, you can start at the beginning here.

I wanted to do a fun project for my hop spot and with Halloween being the theme what better project to feature than something involving CANDY!? I have made three different sized nugget boxes to share with you all today! (Individual pictures of each & measurements further down)

Aren't they cute?! They were soo FUN to make!

The Spooky Box is a 1x6 nugget box.

Stamps: Wicked Cool
Ink: Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories: Small & Large Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Decorative Label Punch 1/8' Black Taffeta Ribbon, Sticky Strip

The Paisley Pumpkin Box is a 2x4 nugget box.

Stamps: Paisley Prints, Everyday Flexible Phrases
Ink: Peach Parfait, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive
Markers: Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Peach Parfait, Soft Suede, Old Olive
Paper: Peach Parfait, Pear Pizazz, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede
Accessories: Decorative Label Punch, Curly Label Punch, Adhesive Leaves, Sticky Strip, 1/4' Old Olive Grossgrain, Dimensionals

The Witch Box is a 3x3 nugget box.

Stamps: Fang-Tastic
Ink: Basic Black, Pear Pizazz, Whisper White
Markers: Concord Crush, Pear Pizazz, Peach Parfait
Paper: Whisper White, Pear Pizazz, Concord Crush, Peach Parfait, Basic Black
Accessories: Spider Web Embossing Folder, Dimensionals, Curly Label Punch, Sticky Strip

You can use Avery 5160 labels to wrap around your nuggets after decorating or cut your strips at 1x 3 1/4. I chose to cut mine out of cardstock as the labels are a little smaller in width giving you less decorating room. Be sure to use the sticky strip to adhere your cardstock to the nuggets as the cardstock is also heavier than the labels!

Now, as many of you are probably wondering, here is how you can qualify for the following

BLOG CANDY! (Open to US only)

You can never have enough of these!

Midnight Musings...

I'm going to share this card front that I made for an SU Stars swap I hosted although I'm not super crazy about it... I'm not sure what it is but I think something is missing and I looked at it everyday for a week straight trying to figure out what else to do to it... I think maybe it needs some of the Raven Lace Ribbon... which of course I haven't ordered yet! LOL

Stamps: Midnight Musings Wheel, Wicked Cool
Ink: Basic Black, Old Olive, Whisper White
Paper: Whisper White, Old Olive, Tangerine Tango, Basic Black
Accessories: Silver Brads, Spider Web Embossing Plate, Dimensionals, Sanding Block

Wicked!

I have been EXTREMELY busy with a few swaps that I've participated in recently and haven't had a whole lot of time to sit down and post. Now that I've got the little one asleep and the darling boyfriend is out for a while I can finally share a few cards!

Hope you all enjoy the next few posts!

This is a card front I did for yet another spot in the SU! MEGA swap on SCS! I hope I didn't spoil the fun for anyone! After reading my comments earlier,  I noticed a few readers also participated in the swap. Hope ya don't mind the sneak peeks! I always say there is a HUGE difference in seeing it and actually having it!

Swap Cards

My goodness it’s been a while! My BF and son went out of town on the 12th and my car transmission gave out on the 13th so I’ve had lots of time to stamp lately and that I have been doing!

Today I’m going to share a few cards I’ve made for recent swaps I joined before I package them up and get them ready to sell in the El Zaribah Shrine’s annual Cornfest this Saturday & Sunday!

I used the new Jolly Old St. Nick set on this card. It’s from the Holiday Mini that releases in just over a week! This was 1 of 3 different card fronts I made for a demo only In Color swap on SCS.

This one, all the images are embossed in black from the Wicked Cool set in the 2010-2011 IB&C. This is 2 of 3 card fronts made for the In Color swap.

Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the 3rd card I made for this swap so I can’t share that one until I re-create it… BUT the last card I’m going to share is another card made using the Jolly Old St Nick set and these card fronts were made for the Inkin’ All Night SU! Holiday Mini demo card swap! They are actually due this weekend, I just need to get them to Rhonda now!

DSCN0546

I found the idea for this card in the summer mini catalog using another set and thought it would be a perfect layout to make Santa POP on this card!

That’s all for now… Come back tomorrow to see my thank you creations!! My BF’s mother needs 6 different unisex thank you’s. I gladly accepted the challenge this morning and I am now finding it to be more challenging than I thought it would be! LOL Anyhow, I will be sharing a few of them each day for the next couple days so don’t forget to stop back by soon!

Halloween Greeting

For the first time this month I participated in my SU! Team’s monthly swap hosted by Rhonda Morgan. The swap theme this month was anything new so we had to use a new stamp set. I was so excited to make these cards I hope you like it! I will post some of the cards I receive from the swap tomorrow when I pick them up! I can’t wait to see everyone’s great ideas!

Sweet Treat Halloween!

Since my grandmother passed away almost 11 months ago I have put my stamping life on hold as it was something we enjoyed doing together. But I am here and ready to pick up where I left off as I know she wouldn't want to see me give up on something that meant so much to both of us! I am a little rusty, but here is the first Halloween card that I have made for this year. I don't have too many younger kids in my family other than my son who is 13 months old and my second son who is due on October 17th so I'm not sure how many Halloween cards I'll make this year but they are fun!

Enjoy!!
