Christmas Cards Made With MDS
Today I actually have a share!!! I apologize for being so absent lately. With the Holiday season comes a great deal of stress for some of us and our family being 2 years young it has definitely been just that!
Anyhow here are a couple Christmas cards I made up using MDS. We ended up going with the last one as I liked it better! hehe!

Christmas Blog Hop - Mr. & Mrs. Clause Owl Tutorial
Welcome to the Christmas Card Blog Hop! If you've come from visiting Jamie, you're in the right place. If you were just looking at my blog and want to play along with our blog hopping fun, you can go to the beginning at Crafty Card Gallery. This blog hop is intended to get you in the Christmas Spirit.... If you haven’t already started/finished your Christmas cards, hopefully this will inspire you to come up with an idea... and maybe you can win some blog candy or get ideas for great Christmas gifts (whether they’re on your list or for someone else!). So if you aren’t braving the malls and can get some computer time, come join us for some fun!
Some of you may have seen my Mr. & Mrs. Clause Owl card I posted yesterday for the Finally Friday Sparkle challenge at GAB (Gimme A Break) Challenges. I decided to give everyone a tutorial as it was requested. These were really easy cards to make and I had so much fun puting them together!
Mr. & Mrs. Clause Owls
1. Punch the two-step owl in both crumb cake and soft suede. |
2. Punch the medium circles only in whisper white for the eyes. |
3. Punch the smallest circles in black cardstock. |
4. Piece together your owls using the 2-way glue. |
5. Set your owls aside. You now need Jolly Old St. Nick, Block E, Early Espresso Ink, Whisper White CS. |
6. To save paper, ink up the Santa face stamp and only stamp the top portion twice as you only need the hats. 7. Color one Santa hat with Real Red. 8. Color the second hat as shown above. |
9. Cut out your Santa hats as show above. |
10. Now you will need to trim your hats down as shown so they'll fit on your owls heads properly. |
11. Using your 2-way glue start with the white on the hats and cover them with chunky silver glitter. Repeat this with the red on the hats using chunky red glitter. |
12. Your owls and hats should look as seen above. Now all you have to do is put it on your card! |

SU Stars Holiday Blog Hop! **Candy Alert**
This first card I had some inspiration from Tamey a fellow demonstrator who is part of INKin' All Night team which was put together by the amazing Rhonda Morgan!

This next card really just came from space! LOL I'm not really sure where I came up with this I had very limited time while the kids were sleeping and just started stamping!

I love my babies!
I remember when Caiden was born (8lbs 20 1/2 in) I was so afraid of this fragile life they placed in my hands. He's almost 18 months now and when I look back and think about everything we have been through as a family and even my extended family I realize how much he has brightened my life.
I lost someone on August 28, 2009 to a three year battle against Ovarian Cancer. My grandmother was a very strong and special woman and faught to the end. She was my mother, well second mother but just like my mother. Her and I used to stamp until we couldn't stamp any longer. I found out I was pregnant with Caiden right before I was laid off in October 2008 and up until Caiden was born her and I spent almost everyday stamping, talking, laughing and sharing ideas. She was my best friend. I honestly felt like someone had ripped my heart out of my chest and that I had nothing to live for when she passed. After taking a moment to breathe and rethink how far gone my mind was I knew I had to stay strong for Caiden and my family. I never would have been able to pull through that hard time without him.
On a more positive note! As I looked back I remember the first time Caiden crawled, sat up on his own, ate his first solid (squash, WHAT a MESS!), stood up on his own and took his first steps. Although Calvin is only 6 weeks old he is surprising me more and more everyday. He is holding his head up quite well and already trying to figure out how to crawl! I am so blessed to have these two amazing boys! We have had bad days. And some days are better than others. But overall I must say I love my LIFE!
Now, about that project I mentioned earlier! Since we played the guessing game on formula for Calvin I have about 5 half full cans of formula sitting on our kitchen counter as I didn't want to waste them. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone using these formulas so I finally decided to get rid of them. As I started rounding them up an idea came to me. Why not decorate them and use them for small gifts or candy jars?! I've only done this one so far but I'm sure there will be more to come as the months progress!

Swap Cards
My goodness it’s been a while! My BF and son went out of town on the 12th and my car transmission gave out on the 13th so I’ve had lots of time to stamp lately and that I have been doing!
Today I’m going to share a few cards I’ve made for recent swaps I joined before I package them up and get them ready to sell in the El Zaribah Shrine’s annual Cornfest this Saturday & Sunday!
I used the new Jolly Old St. Nick set on this card. It’s from the Holiday Mini that releases in just over a week! This was 1 of 3 different card fronts I made for a demo only In Color swap on SCS.
This one, all the images are embossed in black from the Wicked Cool set in the 2010-2011 IB&C. This is 2 of 3 card fronts made for the In Color swap.
Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the 3rd card I made for this swap so I can’t share that one until I re-create it… BUT the last card I’m going to share is another card made using the Jolly Old St Nick set and these card fronts were made for the Inkin’ All Night SU! Holiday Mini demo card swap! They are actually due this weekend, I just need to get them to Rhonda now!
I found the idea for this card in the summer mini catalog using another set and thought it would be a perfect layout to make Santa POP on this card!
That’s all for now… Come back tomorrow to see my thank you creations!! My BF’s mother needs 6 different unisex thank you’s. I gladly accepted the challenge this morning and I am now finding it to be more challenging than I thought it would be! LOL Anyhow, I will be sharing a few of them each day for the next couple days so don’t forget to stop back by soon!
